  • It’s not a franchise, it’s just multiple locations. The only way a single 800 number would work is you need a service that gives you a recording where you press 1 for this location etc. my mobile is in Vegas and Florida, same name but 2 different...

I was at groomers choice last Friday and the blade bins were absolutely empty. They only had 5n1 and the less used blades like 4s and skips. You cannot get 10s and 30s. If you really need one Amazon has them but you will pay way more. Even clipper parts...

It’s a single motor box dryer made by Chris Christensen. It’s widely used at dog shows is where I made use of mine. It’s light and powerful and super quiet. It’s called cool dry for whatever reason but it runs warm air or even hot when the temp...

I agree Dogma. Although I don’t see this as a IC problem. He’s his own business parked outside so it’s clearly a true subcontractor. The best way this would work is like you said pay a fee to park and the groomer keeps all of the grooming charges....

  • Yes it’s a crisis. I know someone whose car is in the shop for months and can’t get the parts. They just bought another car and traded the other into the dealership. They can sell it after they get it fixed. Their insurance stopped covering the rental...

Um, no way. You can do 6 dogs and keep 100 percent like we all do everyday. That’s why we own our vans....

    Need to vent (Wahl)

My bravura clipper has a worn out button, the rubber part on the housing. I saw groomers choice sells the clipper body for $20 ish. Went today to shop there. Was told wahl doesn’t provide parts now to third parties, only basic parts like hinges and...

It’s been my main dryer for 2 years and works great. It’s in back where the trailer is warmer. The air today coming from the dryer was hot. It’s basically summer here all the time. I spend less than 10 minutes drying a small dog with this dryer....

  • I’ve seen a listing here with a tankless. It’s basically a camper van instant hot water to take a shower. It’s really not meant for the demands of grooming. It hangs on the wall and it’s powered by propane, so you need a propane tank in your...

My 15 year mobile business has a ban on chows. None of my groomers want to groom them. You are right someone needs to groom them. I would keep a muzzle on him the whole groom...

  • My crystal ball tells me they will let it grow, it will overwhelm them keeping up with the brushing. Dog comes in and gets stripped due to matting. Rinse repeat. It will never work out not keeping it in a regular trim all over. I would whole heartedly...

I only use a cool dry. Same here in Florida it’s warm year round and my dryer warms up very well. I feel it puts out plenty of air for the small dogs I only groom and consumes way less power. There was only a few cold days this winter that I brought...

  • I use basically everything. I have backup tools that have backup tools. So many tools are just sitting as a spare.

    For me once I bought my clipper vac, I didn’t need many blades anymore like 40s, 15s, 10s, 5s and 4s. I mostly use a 30...

  • My take is this seasoned burnt out groomer has been in the biz too long and probably needs to look into another career. She’s frustrated and can’t even contain herself on a test groom. Could you imagine her day to day attitude towards dogs clients...
