These dogs were up to 60 pounds and attending vet said they looked like pit mixes and one cattle dog kind of mix. The pictures make them look kind of like bull terrier mixes.

More and more of my regular groom dogs are 50 - to 100% overweight and it is physically taking a toll on me! What are others doing about this? Many of these are my favorite dogs & long-term clients but my wrists cannot hold up to constantly supporting...

pugnacious replied to The Whole IC Thing - Is it really all just about saving the employee expenses?in General TALKI own a shop and work alone for now but would love to have another groomer just to keep me company. I turn away potential clients every day as I rarely take new clients. I have had to pay someone to do payroll & employee taxes when I've had...

I love Andis AGC and I shave labs & many short haired dogs & cats including my own pug against the grain with a 5 blade. I will never understand the theory that you can shave anything but double coated dogs. What is the difference? It is...

In many years of grooming I have had only ONE phone call asking how much it would cost to have a dog maintained on a regular basis BEFORE they acquired the dog. If you can't work a dog into your budget, don't get one that needs professional grooming....

I have a lot better luck if I force dry a little and brush a lot! My entire shop heats up if I run the HV very long. When it heats up ... turn it off. Just my observation!
