  • Scissoring in heads

I have been re-watching many Jodi Murphy's older DVDS as well as some new ones and was wondering how many people use the method she does for say Westies and other drop coats where you lift the cheek hair out and up with your comb and use thinners to tip off the ends and then let it fall?

Is there any way to mess up with this technique?

It seems good for those dogs with thick/chunky cheeks you cant get to lay flat

I do this, but I do it with my fingers.. and mostly only on westies, carins, yorkies & longer shih tzu heads. I do it with fingers so it's not exactly any sort of technique. It gives a nice natural layered look.
