  • Merlin wishes you the luck 'o' the Irish!

It is a little early for St Pat's day, but so what? Merlin had his third strip yesterday. He is looking very good. His jacket is now as short and thick as it needs to be and his head is coming along. Still not much of a goatee, but we are getting there slowly. We just got our new stencil stuff in so I wanted to play around w/ it a bit, he got a shamrock! He was so sleepy at the end, the stripping really relaxes him.Click image for larger version

I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.

Looks great! I was playing around with the stencils today too. My pup got a Shamrock and a Biohazard symbol.

Nice! I was planning the biohazard next! I see you used the white first too. I had to redo mine cause I didn't like how messy that looked. I am pretty excited about the stencils, quick, easy, and awesome!

The green wouldn't show up very well on the black without the white coat first. I think next time I will be more patient and let the white fully dry first though to see if that makes a difference.

I had tried stencils with the chalk but this spray is so much easier. And shows up brighter as well. I did Clyde's tail with the spray too. I've chalked it before but it always turned out very pastel in color. Now the test is to see how long this lasts.

The shamrock on Merlin looks amazing! I was playing with this stuff too and mine looked kind of chunky. How did you get his to look so.....natural (?) for lack of a better word lol

I pushed it into his fur a bit so that the edges weren't so defined. At least I think that is what I did. This was my first one, lol. He had just come from the bath so his coat was *puffy*. If it had been a day later the hair would have been laying tighter to the body and it would have looked different. I assume this is more what it might look like on a curlier coated breed. Funny though, I wanted it to look more defined!
