  • Mini schnauzer help!

I grommed a mini schnauzer white who should be confirmed to be in origins books (i don't know how you call it here) and she got hair tottaly soft and soft as silk!
Everytime i dont know how to strip her, plus her parents are like "we didn't brought her for reproduction but we want her to be confimed" and that everytime "can you cut a little more here, and here, and her hair are too long on her back" YES BUT SHE HASNT A HAIR TO STRIP, i feel that it hurts her to strip her hair usualy it doesnt hurt, the others dogs i do are not hurted by my stripping, I said them that. I don't know, she's 1 year old, and for her first groom it was at 9 months, what can i do and purpose to her parents for his hair to be harder as his breed!

I'm not sure that her hair will ever be strippable, the white schnauzers I've groomed all have soft, silky hair. They have to be clipped or scissored...

Your post kinda confuses me. Should be " confirmed" and want her " confirmed", huh? Call me dumb but.........
I would just clip her, no hand stripping.

Cyn, she is in France.....they want to show this dog? WHites have bad hair most of the time. I have only seen three or four that could be stripped, and if its already soft, no way no how ill it get better. And before all you AKC people jump me, YES you can show white snzs in Europe. We are the rare hold out on that....

I just did a search but didn't find any photos of show schnauzers in white. I'll bet they are stunning! Anyone have photos?

try googling (images) white schnauzer. I found many pix that way.

All the white ones I have groomed their hair is not made for stripping. It's wayyyy too soft. I think white schnauzers are soooo pretty but they are not easy to dematt. Usually when a regular schnauzer comes in if it is matted it usually demats pretty easily. I find this is not the case with the white ones because the hair is so soft. I couldnt imagine trying to strip one unless the texture wasnt soft.

Yes, they showed her to be officially in AKC, her parents got it both but there's a final exam at over 12 months of the dog.
Whew!! I thought it was me, thanks god, they said that after that she'll be showed they'll clip her but if write got that hair, the juror probably knew about that.
                  Thanks y'all for the help!
