Pom, #5 bobble head?

So a pom came in and his body was done with a 5. How do you do the head so he doesnt look like a bobble head?

I typically will run a #2 comb backwards over the head, cheeks and chin and then scissored in to blend. Looks really cute. Like a little fox.

I use the SS Wahl combs. I think maybe an "0" comb in reverse would work for a #5 body. Then use thinning shears to blend it so it looks like a little teddy bear.

I use a 4f or 3 on the cheeks, a 5f on the chin, and then thin the rest into the body.

The Wahl ss Yellow comb is what I use on pom heads, looks great.

Depends on how fat the pom is, lol. I have a pom I do in a seven, and he gets a nice, big round scissored head, but he's so fat that it doesn't look disproportionate!

Any other time I would probably do a three on the top of the head and the ears, and then scissor the cheeks so it gives it a fox like look.

Don't they? When the body is clipped and their heads are fuzzy, there is always a bit of the "bobble head" element to the look, even when the head is tidy and not too big. Part of the charm of the dog and the style, I think, lol.

Thanks everyone. I didn't get to groom this dog, but I was watching and didnt know what to say. Next tim I might be able to say something. I also checked out some pictures, and as it seems, I think some people like the bobblehead, cause I found a few pictures with a short 5 or 7 body and a huge, non blended head. HAHA! It looks so funny to me.
