Why do shears need to be sharpened if you drop them? Can't they be aligned? I have dropped new shears and they are never the same after being sent for "sharpening"

I'm not sure of the exact reason why shears become misaligned, have burrs, or whatever after they've been dropped... but in my super humble opinion, if you can't get them to be correct after sharpening, you aren't using the right sharpener. I have these aaahmazing shears that a dog kicked into a brick wall right after I first got them. Sent them to a couple of sharpeners.. and finally the third guy did it right!

Jeff has fixed some of mine. Falling on the tip directly is the worst.

It's not perfect but anti fatigue mats have helped.

Absolutely landing on the tips is the worst.

NEVER close the shears after you drop them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to inspect them immediately first. If the balance is off or there is a little burr and you open and close them you can be even lightly grinding them. You are wearing down the blades or the burr scratching each time you open and close. Ruins them.
