Can anyone give me the low down on offset shears. Are they handy to have, what situation are they used in, are they your everyday shears? Any input about these would be great Thanks!!

All my big shears are offsets. The only ones I have that aren't offset are my little detailing scissors and a small thinning scissor. And all but one of my shears are also bent shanks.
Offsets relieve a lot of stress on your hands, because they move yourforward, in a more natural position. Bent shanks are nice because the blades are closer to the hair than your hand, making them a little more manuverable, and are especially nice when scissoring feet.
