NDGAA will be in my area in May and I'm thinking of taking the workshop. How did some of you go about the certification process? I was thinking of just taking the workshop this time and then taking the testing another time or should I take the workshop the same time as I do testing?...I don't want to be overloaded with info and then have to try to take a huge test - should I take the workshop twice??. Is the testing super difficult? I need to be thinking about registering soon, so here I am. Any pointers and extra bits of wisdom any of ya'll have on this process would be GREATFULLY appreciated! TIA!!!!

There's plusses and minusses to both. On the plus side of going to the workshop then testing at a later date, you DON'T know what breeds they're going to have on hand to demonstrate for the workshop. They may or may not demonstrate the breed(s) you're planning to test on at that time. You are also able to PRACTICE over time what you learned in the workshop before taking the test at another time....

On the other hand, if you're testing on a Bichon and they do their demo on a Bichon, then what they're looking for is fresh in your mind the next day when you test.

Thanks so much for the reply!! Still don't know what I'm going to do yet, but it gives me something extra to think about. Thanks again!
