Certification-here I come

Well, I did it. While I was at the Atlanta Pet Fair, I joined ISCC and got all the material for certification study. I am very impressed with the educational material. I know that even if I don't make it through all of the process, there is a wealth of information I will ave access too. The mentor in my area of the country is someone I admire so that helps. Wow...there is alot to learn!

Furrysbestjob - Where in Connecticut are you? Did they give you a list of mentor all over CT? Maybe someday I'll check it out. How long have you been grooming?

What is the cost for the educational package? I was thinking about this too, if nothing else, I want to better my skills vs. becoming certified.

Dapperdog...I'm in Waterbury. I don't have the list yet of those that are certified in Connecticut, but the main mentor to contact is in Maine (Daryl Connor), which makes me happy. I'm going to start out with some of the written tests to give me a little confidence.

Paws...the cost of the educational items including membership was $350.00. There are 3 videos, a manual, etc. Of course, there is a charge for taking each test as well.

Furry, that is AWESOME! That is my goal: Next year at the Pet Pro Classic I'm going to sign up just as you did and start from there. Congratulations, from what I've read about ISCC, you can't go wrong!!! Way 2 go!!!!
