Little Rhico went to his second trial this weekend and now only needs one more Q for his first title. YAY! It was freezing even for socal (literally) but we endured the wind and dust and had a great time! I'm so proud of him he's such a good boy!

When my boys were small we would take them and one of our dogs, Xena to the playground. They would take her up the ladders and down the slides, over bridges and through tunnels. She would go anywhere with them. The first time we took her to an agility class they couldn't believe she would do everything.

I have also been thinking about doing agility with my new little Toby. What are the chances a Shih can do good in it? He is so full of engery I thought this may be something he could run off some of that engery. Of course it means that I would have to get out there and do it with him, that could put a damper on it. I'm way out of shape."There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."

it is a lot of fun, and anyone can do it. rhico loves it, he used to get so bored when we went to obedience class he wouldn't do anything or take treats. such a pain in the a** poodlebut he whines in agility class if it's to long between turns and is so focused it's scary. we take a class once a week it's not to expensive. and a few friends and i are trying to get together some equipment for more practice. ask around or go to http://www.usdaa.com/ to find info on clubs. http://www.cleanrun.com/ is a good source of information too. i can't wait to get my girl started... and they call rhico a psycho agility dog
wait til they see her!

cute pics!
I just started classes again after our holiday break with my ella. We haven't competed yet - but we're at a novice level. I started classes with her about 2 years ago. Last night however she thought it was pretty funny to take a few laps around the ring with her squirrel toy (and not listen to mommy). The more people say how cute she is & laugh the faster she goes!
