I am freakin out!!

Ok i may be a freak or I may be parenoid. I am not sure. Here is my thing all dogs and I mean all dogs even the nasties before muzzle(BM they only btie while grooming), They always lick my right arm between the wrist and elbow and some really get into it....I never thought anything of it untill some one mentioned it, they noticed the dogs going for my arm, the dogs seem very calm while licking. Am I dying of a disese, cancer, should I see a doctor, or the obvious I am certifiably insane. Any one else experince this or any thing like it??? Good gravy I can't believe I am putting this out there, but you are the peeps to ask.

i have noticed alot of dogs go for my boobs. mostly just seems like they are inspecting me but its annoying as hell and embarrassing!!lol

You have some reason for concern

but likely nothing to it. I had a similar fear when it seemed my dogs would walk by me at the computer and sniff or lick my elbow. Turned out I was having puter elbow. Well I was so often leaning on the computer table that the elbow was rough, sort of like injured. Still is over a year later. I'd certainly heard about the cancer sniffing dogs, but sort of think they had some training, like drug sniffing dogs?

My conclusion is you have an enticing arm.

Not to be the downer here but I saw those dogs focusing on one part of the body because there was something wrong disease, too. My first thought was that. Maybe it is a cologne or something you are putting in that area?
Never hurts to go for a check up anyway. Don't think I would mention why you are there unless the doc knows who you are, LOL

We always joke about it in my house when my own dog gets carried away licking one spot forever cause I've seen a few of those shows where dogs diagnose cancer.

Personally I think their just tasting you for later! He He. ROFL just kidding.

That's what we always say especially when it's the mean ones is that they're just deciding where they're gonna bite you when it's time.

It probably just has to do with your body position. You probably just tend to put that arm in an easy area for them to get to it. Or...maybe you are a sloppy eater and there is some residue of lunch there!

Oh my, I had this problem with my left boob the other day. They were really going to town. This was every dog I was doing that day. It didnt bother me, I would just push their face away. It became embarassing when the store opened up and everyone passing by could see. It occured to me later that one of my cats probably slept on my smock the night before. I hope that was it.

hey don't freak out but i had a dog that used to lick my husband or me where ever we had pain then twice at differents times licked my husbands leg when he was asleep and twice he had a very bad staph infection that was very serious both times he was hospitilized for 8 to 10 days the weird thing was that she would lick it only at night and like a week before he started feeling sick,so i don't think dogs have to be trained to pick up on something maybe it was a doggie smell on you that they could'nt resist. you never know!

There was a dog at my work yesterday that kept licking a co workers right forearm near her elbow.. The dog was really into it and just kept licking. The girl just let her do it.

You're not freaking out, it happens to me a lot.. I get my hands licked between my and pointer finger leading into my wrist and forearm all the time... Probably the dogs are sensing the muscle strains from holding clippers and scissors all the time. If you were left handed I bet they would lick the left arm.

I use the Groomer's Helper so they can't lick me...but this post is kinda interesting...LOL

Update

Still licking away, they are!! I am still a freak. I do have a GH.( I don't put all dogs on my GH, if they stand still , no, GH, they wiggle yes, GH) It is just going to be filed as another weird thing in my life as a groomer LOL!! I am going in for my yearly physical in June. So I guess I'll see then!!

My Min Pin always licks my husbands wrist/arm. Seems like she does it a lot after he has come in from mowing the lawn. She really likes to lick right by his watch.

Sometimes she will lick our feet, strange but I find that comforting and relaxing (once I get over the twitching LOL). She likes to lick my husbands feet more than mine, guess they taste better.
