All these recalls have me very worried, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I've thought about making my dogs' food at home, but I'm afraid I wouldn't get them the proper nutrition needed.

Right now they are on biljac, I tend to switch around because I haven't found anything I was really impressed with. I know you shouldn't do that, but I usually do it with more than enough food left over to wean them from one to the next.

What brands do you feed? Or do you make your own? Raw or cooked?

I may be getting overly worked up about it, but I keep thinking they're going to recall something my two are eating, or worse, they'll get sick before anything gets recalled!

Sorry, I don't mean to open a can of worms, I'm just interested to hear what you guys have to say.

I've been feeding my dog a home prepared diet for 9 of her 10 years. Chicken, beef, vegetables, eggs and a daily K-9 multi-vitamin along with Liquid Health and calcium.

She loves her freshly made meals and I've never had a problem feeding her this way.

    Good luck!!!

Right now I'm feeding Nutro. So far, no problems with that food.

      I usually buy Flint River.

My dog eats way to much to make food at home. I wouldn't be able to afford that.

Raggs, good point! I was worried it would be stretching the budget with just my beagle, now I have both Mollie and Brenna (who eats more than twice as much as Mollie).

I thought Nutro was in the Menu Foods recall.

I'm feeding Precise. We carry it at work, and so I get it cheaper! It has good ingredients, my dogs like it (and ones a little picky). They have good skin, coat, etc. I have in the past thought about making it at home, but for several reasons decided not to. Money for one, not to mention I just really don't have time, and I would worry they weren't getting all of the nutrition that they need. I rreally don't know enough about it. Plus, I still live at home, and it's impossible to get everyone to stop giving them leftovers! Drives me nuts, but oh well, they are both perfectly healthy, even the almost 13 year old. So, I guess I won't try to fix what ain't broke!
