    congratulations.

That is a good survival time. Wishing you the best. I know several survivors and they are all but one doing real well. The one had it again, been in remission, but she's too scared/upset to really live.
Money will buy you a pretty good dog but it won't buy the wag of it's tail.

That's fantastic news, Ming! It's always encouraging to hear about women who are winning the battle against breast cancer. I just had my first mammogram a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it would be, and it was over pretty quickly. Sending a prayer for continued good health!

Im so happy for you. I'm wondering though have you had a mamo not too long ago? It's scary not having insurance. I've had it my whole life and of course these three months I didn't have it and everything bad happend. My sons hospitalized with pnemonia, I'm at home with pnemonia and now my tooth is hurting. I really wonder about my luck sometimes.

              What great news, congrats.

I could be wrong on this but I had the understanding that if you're uninsured you could go to a state, county, health clinic and recieve a mammogram for no charge. It may be something you could look into. I think I heard it during breast cancer awareness month, is that Oct? May be it is something they offer just at that time.

Mammo last birthday 1 yr ago.

I could maybe qualify for ACCESS. but own house. Noones' gonna get my house over med bills. Had one Dec before last.Just paid it 155...Realize if I get it again..no Insurance to fix it..If you could,as it can come back anywhere and usually w/ a vengence. I don't worry cuz I am not afraid to cross the rainbow bridge,,so-to-speak.All my doggies and my mom will be waiting....I hope. It would be nice to have group Groomers Ins.medical..so far none exsists. Like Kaiser in Calif. Not shouting access...it is initials foe some long name..I think I have a better chance of some idiot red-lite runner killing me here in Phx.

I learned a lot from it, an d my strengths...or I am still in de nile. Went out and frosted my hair...no Chemo for me...that would have killed me.Good way to get sympathy....hahaha

I'm a little late to reply (soo many posts on here..I miss alot)

                              Just wanted to say congrats!!

My mom has breast cancer (had one removed) and was told she had 6 months to live. That was almost 30 yrs ago and she is still in remission!
My mother in law also had breast cancer that had spread..I want to say into her liver, but I'm not sure. Dr's didn't think she was going to do so well either. But she has been in remission for about 10 years.

I had my first mammo this past year. Dr wanted me to start now seeing as how my mom had breast cancer.

Since you had cancer...can't you get some kind of help for your insurance? If not state funded like medicaid/medicare, but something low cost. I would think that since you had a health condition, you would qualify for something. But I'm not really sure how all that works.
