I don't want to go to work today! It is still 0 degrees and blowing like a blizzard. And I bet nobody will be coming to the store this afternoon and evening. I know I wouldn't!! Oh well, gotta go anyway. Wish me luck.

It's below zero here too!! The schools are all cancelled. My morning dogs cancelled and the one at lunch time came in the morning. Cars weren't starting and one lady's pipes were frozen! So I'm home for the rest of the day and I bet more will cancel tomorrow! The people making appointments are asking for next week. I like the 30's when we can enjoy the snow. This is way too cold!

Oh, I hate today. I went and groomed 3 collies this morning which was fine, they're great. I then had a nail cutting and brush out which went well. Then, I was SUPPOSE to have a bichon at 3:30, went home to fill an guess what...the water fill to the van was frozen. Water wouldn't go in the van. I tried pouring hot water, but that didn't work. I called Jaime at Wag'n Tails and he told me to turn the furnace all the way up and turn on the heater...and Wait. That's what I'm doing now. Now I've had to reschedule my bichon until tomorrow, which was going to be my day off this week. To make things worse, my toes are frozen and so are my hands and to make things even worse, I still have to go out and fill the tank once it thaws (if it does!)

We got up to 52, it was sooooo nice. Didn't need a coat.

It was high of 21 here today but I bundled up and rode my bike to work because that's what I do. My coworkers think I'm crazy but I get my exercise in and lots of stress relief. We are fairly busy grooming even with this weather, because it's been this cold for a couple of weeks now and people are getting used to it.

BRRRR is right! I feel for all of you in the east and mid-west with below zero cold. I worry about the pets too. Hope everyone surrives. Guess this must be global warming, huh???!

My customer (who resides in Rancho Bernardo) told me her thermometer (not in the sun) reached 90 degrees today. I don't think it got quite that hot in Poway, but my house was over 80 degrees inside when I got home at lunch. Had to open the windows.

It's 10 here too but below zero with the windchill but not to worry cause I've packed on enough fat to keep warmer Boo Hoo!!!!!! Darn winter and comfort foods.

It's 9 right now here with a high of 25 today, it's supposed to snow again tomorrow. Thank goodness it's not windy or I'd be staying put by the woodstove - I can't move when it gets this cold with blowing wind too. Spring is just around the corner, spring is just around the corner - hands are frozen time to thaw out again. Stay warm people (I'm so jealous of those of you who are jacketless right now - it should be a crime ).
