  • Hi to Everyone from the UK

Hello, its a real pleasure to introduce myself, I live in Wales, UK, on a farm and have a cool salon in my 500 year old barn. Ive been grooming for just two years. I would not have got through the last two years without the help of all you folks out there. This board has been like having a mentor, when I needed help or reassurance you all had the answers for me!
I agree with many other members...this new board is even better and much less inhibited, even us previously silent board addicts now have the confidence to post.
I hope I can be of some help to you all, and look forward to making lots of new friends along the way.

Welcome to the new board. I'm glad to hear from groomers in countries other than the US. IMO the more people that participate the more knowledge we get from others.

Very Nice to meet you! I would love to know what breeds you groom the most. Oh and do you or other groomers in your area ever groom cats?

                    Welcome

Hello Animal Oasis, I look forward to hearing your grooming ideas and experience! I'm guessing that people in the UK are as animal addicted as those in the U.S. Ha Ha. Have you found many differences in U.S. grooming business ideas and styles versus the Uk? I would love to see a pic of your grooming shop. It sounds great! Welcome.

Well today i groomed the following breeds, bichon, Lhasa, briard, welsh springer, beddlington terrier, komondor, bull mastif.
I do get lots of labs, goldens, yorshire terriers, westies, jack russell, collies, boxers and lurchers. I also get to a lesser degree St Bernards, welsh collies, scotties, shnauzers, Tibetians, setters, ckcs, malmuts, akitas, english cockers etc
I love grooming charlotte my curly coated ret, shes my avatar!
Much of the styling seems similar, but the pet trims on the lhasa and shih tzu seem the most different to me.

Welcome! I would love to see pics. of you 500year old barn and your salon. ALso pics. of the different trims done over there. How cool it is to be able to compare things in other countries but the same industry! Do they sell the same type of grooming equipment over there? As far as clippers and shears?
