  • New Yorkie Pup

Hello from NC! I'm bringing my 10 week old Yorkie home this week. He has had his 2nd set of boosters but no rabies etc. Is it safe to take him to be groomed or is he too young?

Groomers may, we prefer 12 weeks. Your groomer will share the required vax. It is usually a quick appointment.

I ask that they have a full set of shots completed before a full grooming. There's not really s reason other than the pup is a little older and mature (?) snd the owners are starting to demonstrate responsible ownership. I'll meet with them during the second shot set to trim eyes snd show how to start brushing.
And first groom Is generally a bath and brush out with feet , face and sanitary trim with a moe involved groom three weeks later. But that's just my preferences.

Pretty much if not entirely agree with Honey.

Ideally 12 weeks for us. The younger, the better!
