Hi everybody--I am new to your board, but not new to grooming. I started grooming in 1991. I groomed F/T until 1999 when I just needed a break. I continued to groom P/T for another year or two. I worked for a major warehouse for 6 1/2 years. I had a baby in 2005 and when Emily was about 7 months old, I went back to P/T grooming. I have a 9yr black rough coat Chow Chow Brittany (she's a doll); Zephram, my 1yr old fawn pug boy, and Maggie Mae, a 6yr black pug. They are all rescues. Maggie we were fostering, but we flunked Fostering 102. LOL We also have 6 birds, 3 gerbils and an old, old Betta fish. Oh, and I have a husband too. I'm in Parkesburg, PA which is just east of Lancaster County, and about an hour or so west of Philly.
I am just discovering the online world of dog grooming and am learning soooo much!! I eventually would like to try my hand at Competive grooming but, well, Pugs and old Chows just don't make great competition dogs. I'd also like to get certified some year...if I ever find/get an appropriate dog.
