Hi,

I'm Kim, just started Mobile Grooming in San Diego county in April. Although I've been Mobile Grooming for someone else for 3 yrs. I love it!!! I had limited funds starting out, and had no idea how to go about getting a van. Everything was too high.. So I found a 22 foot college bus, my boyfriend, son and I built one. Ripped out the seats. Shelled it out, and went to Home Depot..lol We did hire an electrician..Wish I would of found this board about a year ago.. It's great!!

I definitely have to give you credit for being able to "build" your own mobile salon. I envy people that have the ambition and talent to do that. I'm sure it was definitely worth it for you to go out on your own.

The Bus

Burrr..No, not South Dakota. I think I would freeze. And, yes it was alot of hard work. Intsead of the usual what is it 2 weeks, it took (working weekends only) about 9..The thing I like most about it is,,the windows..alot of windows, and its very roomy and easy to drive.

It's great to see so many groomers on this board from San Diego!! My mom lives in Oside. I love the beach towns. There's a bunch of us getting together in March, it will be my first time there. Sounds fun. Are coming or have u heard about it?

Hi Kim, Michelle mentioned that she had spoken to you. Hope to see you at our March Mobile Groomers get together, We have only met once so it will be our 2nd get together! I am very lucky to have a good friend that teaches Red Cross First Aide and CPR that is going to teach us at no cost. I have taken it before but it has been a year, so brush up is good for those that have taken it and if not it is great to know. At our last...ummm... first meeting it was mentioned that it would be a good topic for discussion. So I called my friend and it is on! SO exciting! Hope to see you there! Are you going to Burbank?
