Hello, I joined today because I am looking into being a groomer and thought it would be a good idea to talk to a few! I originally started pursuing a degree in zoology degree to become a zoo keeper but after realizing that I would need to get a masters degree and deal with a huge bureaucracy in order to earn a comfortable living I am changing career paths. I have lots of animal experience through internships around the world and can't imagine not working with animals and prefer a more hands on approach to learning. Dog grooming seems to be a way to earn enough to live on and get to work with animals without sinking another 20-40k into my education.
