Hello out there..... Im Allison living in the Madison WI area. I currently stay home w/my daughter who will be starting Kinder. in the fall. Im in the process of est a business plan and plan to start my own mobile business in the future. Im very excited. Im also excited to be able to talk to everybody here.

Hi, Allison! You are ahead of me still. I begin grooming school in September. I worked as a groomer for four months right after college and then "moved on" to other jobs where I could use my college degree. It is about six years later and I am ready to go back to dog grooming! Looking back I realized that the only job I was truly happy doing was grooming dogs, and when I found that there was a grooming school in my area, it seemed meant to be!

You're so right!! It is (or should be) an ongoing learning process. I have been doing this for 22 yrs and I am still learning.....thank goodness old groomers can learn new tricks...lol
