Hello all!
I graduated from the CT School of Dog Grooming Dec. 1st 2006.
I satrted my first full time job 4 days ago. I love it! Im the salon manager at a well known boarding kennel. I'm a bit nervouse but I know I can do it. Any advice from you pros out there would be wonderful! Thanks!

Im definitely not a pro, im actuallly in the same position you are. Im the head groomer at a vets office, started last week, graduated florida institute of animal arts on dec. 15th. I love it too, I was kinda just threw into the whole routine, but Im getting it down. If you ever get any tips let me know, and ill send whatever I can your way. good luck..

Reading as many posts on this board is a great tool for continuing your education. Also, it's a terrific place to bounce any questions or issues that you have off of experienced groomers. Good luck in your new position!!!

Hi Groomer and Bully, it sounds like you both have a good start to a great career! The advice I have for you both is to continue educating yourselves as much as you can. Read books, go to seminars and shows and access this board as often as you can. I have been grooming for a loooong time and I thought I knew everything...lol....but, I have learned sooooo much on this board. It is a great place for any grooming questions, but also to come and chat w/others who "know where you are coming from". Not to mention the cyber friends you will make!! Good luck w/your new careers!
BTW I may have posted 2 similar messages, my puter did something crazy (actually, it was the operator and not the puter....lol).
