Mobile groomer get together - DFW area

I have been urged to try and get us mobilers together again and am sending out an invite for some new faces to come. Date is July 8th, location will be somewhere N of Dallas but undecided at the moment. In the past we have had as many as 17 different mobile groomers attend, most bring their grooming units for all to view. We "talk shop" over lunch, meet greet, exchange business cards etc. If you are interested in more information contact me privately at [email protected]. I will try and update our contact list roster by the time of the meeting so I can pass out copies to everyone. We have a roster with everyone's contact information as well as the areas they work so we can refer clients that call out of our area to a fellow groomer that does work the client's area.

We have a location, working on a time, have plans for a pot luck BBQ. My email address is in the original post, please email me directly if you are interested in coming. I have about 15 people so far to get updates on details out to and it is much easier via email as I can write it once and send to all than private messages here on the board.

So far confirmed, we have mobile groomers from the following areas planning to attend. Frisco, 2 from Sanger, Aubrey, Plano, McKinney, Flower Mound and interested parties from N Richland Hills, Mansfield and Ft Worth

Not bad so far considering emails and posts just went out a few days ago. There should be a nice group of mobile groomers and we should have a wonderful time. I am bringing copies of a worksheet I did a couple meetings ago on pricing. It does not give prices, but instead helps you to understand how to determine your own overhead PER APPOINTMENT so you can better set your minimum price per appointment. We also discuss the best places to go for repairs, maintainence, and parts. We discuss how to handle problems we come across, equipment really just about every aspect of our job.

We are up to 10 confirmed attending and 3 maybes! Food coming so far, Brisket, potato salad, baked beans, macaroni salad, veggie tray cheese cake, cake, cookies, misc dessert, and relish tray.

This should be a GREAT time! There are at least 4 new faces coming!
