I would guess NJ has the highest prices for mobile. Only based on the few mobiles I know in NJ that I know what they charge. I'm in NY and know my prices aren't as high. Now prices are probably a lot more in NY City, but if we are taking a state average I would still guess NJ. I lived in Ohio and the prices were really low, but I don't know if it was like that all over the state. I'll have to take a look around the board and see if I can find the survey. I thought Stephen said the new one would be up with the new board.

We have high groom fees here in Nj and with everything being relative, a high cost of living. To buy a decent house in my town cost about $350,000 (split level built in the 1960's) which is way down from what it used to be since real estate took a dive. In some of the neighboring towns, property taxes can run $7,000 and way up ($10,000 and more- yikes!) and that is for a small house and yard. If I didn't buy into my town 15 years ago I could never afford to live here. To rent a decent shop space could run you $4,000 and that is for nothing exciting. If I didn't charge what I did I would have found something else to do.

The highest I would guess is California and probably NY and some other states where mobile grooming is very rare.
Here in Texas we probably have the lowest rates. Especially in the country area. We have a big hispanic population on the lower income level. My too low prices are already on their limit here. The city is a little higher.
