It's not funny anymore if this keeps up the polar bears are gonna be at risk of becoming jackets well before they starve. The only tree I want to hug is one that is on fire.

Not as nice and sunny here in good ole Bama as we would like it to be hu? I drove threw your area yesterday and thought I was gonna freeze to death in a second when I got out of the car. It is suposta warm up this week though so just hang in there! Alabama cold snaps can be brutal, but they are usually short lived.

Oh cry me a river LOL With the wind yesterday it was about -9 here. I am sick of the cold as well and here it doesn't usually warm up until May.

Well, the difference is that we CHOSE a warm area to live in and 12 degrees not counting wind chill last night was not my idea of WARM. I grew up in Boston area and it was cold, for long periods of time, but this cold is different, possibly because we are not used to it, but MAN I am tired of it as well. My gas bill will be over my electric bill this month for the first time EVER in 12 years of being open. We aer used to 2 or 3 days, but its going on three weeks here below 32 every night. A few days we didn;t hit muh above freezing for a high. We are NOT equipped for this...... I still find some good points. Harder to do the longer it goes on, but still......

Where I live and where Doug and Lauri live (next county over from me) have not been above freezing for several days, maybe weeks. I kinda lost count, but people's pipes are breaking left and right, ice is still on many roads, and the county Doug lives in was actually declared in a "state of emergency" last week from the cold and ice. I have lived in cold climates too and this is truly different. Maybe it is the moisture in the air? I duno but I know im COLD and cant shake the chill. My electric blanket is broken, and my poodle wont snuggle with me! Im ready for spring already!

Oh gosh I was just kidding. I hate living where it's cold but I don't want to live anywhere there are poisonous spiders or snakes LOL. We looked into moving to Atlanta but knowing our friends have to spray for black widows freaks me out. And the scorpions in the yard. Nope, I'll deal with snow and ice over creepy crawlies.
It's probably always warm in the Caribean. Oooh, lets all move THERE! Wait, the bugs are bigger there aren't they?

I was in this morning at the shop and no problems, came in today around 4 and have a broken outside spigot. Neighbors have my contact info and did not call me, no one did anything, so ther eis now going to be a sheet of ice at the back of the parking lot of the neighboring businesses. I am putting kitty litter down in a few minutes......plumber on the way, water turned off..........it was 12 last night at home and 15 here according to the thermometer I have outside.....I am tired of this.

first time since1911 we had this long and cold a snap, -5 to -10 at night,But we got above freezing 2 whole days in a row! After 3 weeks of this ****. Christmas eve we got around 4 to 8 inches and it is still here, not normal. Might hit 50 weds, THAT is normal, here.

Well if you want to warm up come to WA its in the 50's with rain Which is a little warmer then normal for this time of yr. The dumping rain & finding out my rear door seal needs to be replaced in a major way, I was at an angle, as it was raining through the door which is close to my table, was fun piling the towels up. Luckily only 2 dogs today & the rain let up with the first dog. Its way better then bitter cold temps or snow or ice anyday.

I heard someplace over that way there the lizards are falling out of the trees frozen to death stiff. Not good.

I'm with ya on that .

I hate the cold. This is definitely over the top for me. Man, i was just thinking today, how i can't wait until i don't have to heat the trailer all night long and i don't have to freeze my hands off trying to get the hoses hooked up AND i won't have to drain the trailer every weekend. Oh it'll be a joy. Spring is right around the corner, i just know it!

Yeah I'm tired of the below zero here for so long, but next week we will be over freezing and I'm not sure I'm happy about that. LOL That means the snow will melt and my yard will be a big soapy mess. Just not looking forward to my 3 dogs in that kind of mess. I just cleaned up my house so it no longer looks like a barn. =(

Nope! In FL Iguanas are falling form the trees. Not all are dead, but the longer the days stay cold the more dead ones there will be.

I heard they were in stasis due to the cold. I also heard people were bringing "the poor dears" inside to warm up and when the lizards warmed up and woke up the people got attacked!
