  • Going Overboard

Is it just me or do we all go a little “overboard” with our 4-legged friends? I happened to be nonchalantly looking at a holiday catalogue when I see the word “SALE” on pet beds so I quickly scan the page. $99.00 for a bed isn’t bad, so I continued to read on………well I realized that I needed the “large” bed to accommodate the 5 doxies and 1 schnauzer. The sale price on a large bed was $169.00……….. okay, not too bad yet……. Well I needed two of them, one for the dining room, one for the parlor, then with shipping and taxes…..the total bill was for $400.00, God I love my tip money !! And yes, my dogs LOVE them.

    Happy Going Overboard !!

Well it 's your hard earned money, and those are very nice dog beds, your living room looks nice,so you might as well get classy dog beds, that are also comfy, and attractive. Your dogs are cute, and look very pleased with what Mom's hard earned dough bought them! Did you get the Weezer, and Schutzie cusions with the beds?

Well try spendin $150 on a collar and leash set.. If my hubby found about that he would come unglued! Of course if it was for his dirtbikes or Harley well that would be different..... but spending money on " those dogs" to him is a big no no.... Well I say if he does not " no no" then who cares! I'm so glad you posted this. Now I don't feel so bad about the heated dog bed I rigged up to go under my computer desk.

My tip money is mine, and hubby doesn't bat an eyelash as to what I spend it on. So if I get my day spa treatment on my day off, he's fine with it.

He has a stash of cash for his amateur radio equipment. $500 for a fancy walkie-talkie and $1500 for a big radio in our office? THAT'S some money there!

He's talking about going to the amateur radio convention in Dayton, Ohio in a few months. It's to hams what Mecca is to Muslims, he says every ham should go at least once in his lifetime.

Only if he leaves the debit card in his wallet....:-)

I'm all for pet owners buying their dogs any pet beds, sweaters etc. we feel we want ,and can afford for our dogs. That being said,I hope if I ever win the lottery, that I would not become so decadent as to spend 25,000$ on a Loius 15th mahogany dog bed. It seems a little over the top in a world where children still starve to death every day. The dog beds that were a couple hundred each would look nice in any living space, and as if any dog would know the difference between a 25,000$ bed,or a foamy with a blanky on it for that matter!
