Does anyone groom dogs at apartment complexes that allow dogs in your area? Maybe 1 or 2 full days stationary at these locations? I posted awhile back about this subject asking if I should do it. I just want to know if anyone does it? And what kind of price break do you give. I was thinking $5 off my regular pricing since I won't be driving around for those days but I will be using my generator so I can't discount too much. Is this a problem when people move though? How many dogs do you groom for the days your are there?

I'm toying with this same idea--in the mobile home park I live in. There are LOTS of dogs here--not sure about the demand for mobile, though. All I can really do is try. My employer has said I can offer whatever discount I want to the residents here; I was thinking 10% (average $5-6 per dog).

I have offered this before, but so far, no takers. My idea was to give a discount IF they would let me plug in for power so I didn't have to use my gennie. If not, they pay full price. They still don't have to go anywhere and are getting express service. The only exception I would make, is lowering my minimum fee for small, short haired dogs, like chihuahuas, by about $10.

With gas going up, I am no longer offering mulit dog discounts. I have to run my gene the whole time and that uses gas. I no longer plug in to clients houses because my dryer will pop the circuit.
If your dog is fat, you are not getting enough exercise!

So funny she didn't understand until you put to her in those terms!! LOL! And isn't that the whole point of mobiling? so what if you're already there? You wouldn't give her a discount if you had a shop and her friend brought in both dogs!! Duh!

                Summertime is a comin'....

I had the greatest client last summer that would set up a block party for me on Friday nights! She let all of her neighbors know which Friday afternoon/evening I was coming by and they would start calling. One stop and I never left without an easy 300! It got to be so big, they started cooking out! Only regret is that the Margarita had to wait until the last puppy was dry
