  • Do you accept credit cards??

i've only been mobile for 5 months now..and i started taking credit cards..and only about 5 customers asked if i take them..well to make a long story short..the company i was dealing with (through my bank) was horrible..they charged more than they were suppose to, it always took way longer than the 2 days to make it into my account etc....was a real night mare....Anyway..someone told me about a way to take credit cards..where you do not need a machine..just call up the company and give them the number and then they authorized over phone then the money, minus their percentage, went into your account...does anybody know or use this system? If so could you tell me who it is..and how to contact them? Some of my new customers have been asking if I take credit cards..and I'd really like to as a convenience to them...Thanks

I've heard Paypal for business is wonderful. They let you call it in like you describe.

PayPal is the faster, safer way to send and receive money or make an online payment. Get started or create a merchant account to accept payments.

I do accept credit cards...through my banks merchant services, phone in for an authorization # and process sale at that time or later. Deposit second business day. Flat monthly fee or a % if greater. Not really worth it, I offer it and have a few takers but most customers seem not to care.

        Interested

        Hi There:
I am also interested in the Credit Card process you are looking into. I have a grooming Salon in NY. If you obtain any info. would you be so kind as to pass it on to me. Thank you!

            What happened to cash?

I don't get it with people and credit cards. Is it so hard to have a little cash on hand when you pay a groomer? I'm old fashioned when it comes to money..cash is the best. And I always give them a receipt with their next appointment attached to it.

I accept cash or debit card ( and sometimes cheques from regulars). I like having the debit terminal because about 80% of my customers pay that way. I don't accept credit cards because it would be 8.00/mo per credit card company whether anyone uses it or not, plus the transaction fee of 1.00. I have only had a couple people ask if I take credit cards, so it didn't seem worth the added expense.

I do not take credit cards...always been check or cash..maybe once or twice a year I get one returned. If there is such a service and its cheap..let us in on it!! the fees are way too excessive IMO Last time I checked on a terminal and printer was going to be over $600. smacks!!! ouch I have the software capablitlity ,,but then theres all the extras...

                      cps

I used to use a pretty high dollar cpa when we had the horse farm.

I went to pay my bill to them and they don't even take credit cards.

                      My new cpa dosn't either.

If these guys are so good with money, perhaps I will take their example.
You don't see them paying those fees.
                      I doubt I will either.
I KNOW they are richer than I.

I got my debit terminal through Chase Paymentech. Their helpdesk # is 1-800-265-5158. They'll most likely be able to redirect you to someone who can answer any questions about getting a debit terminal. You need a bank acct. for the funds to be transferred into, and a business liscence. You pay a monthly fee plus you have transaction fees after so many purchases per month. You have the choice of buying the terminal or renting it. Hope this is helpful, Socialkevin!

Cash or checks. Credit cards have never been an issue and I don't think it's worth the hassle and expense
