I thought about 150 but doesn't it make a difference if they have 2 or more pets, I didn't consider that.

I take # of clients to mean, # of pets. Some people have one, some have five or six, so clearly the human can't be considered the client.

Clients refer to the pets, not the humans.

I like to call the pets my clients, but for the business world as an owner humans are my business clients.
