  • Buttercut Blades

I am so tired of buying blades and then not having them cut good. They seem to ride on top of the hair and not dig into the coat at all. So I heard great things about the Buttercut blades, I just got them today and cant's wait to try them out.
Anyone else use the Buttercut blades?

I have one buttercut blade and I like it. I was rectulant to buy it because I really don't have problems with my other blades. But my other groomer told me she loved hers and shes got quite a few buttercut blades. The buttercuts are cheaper than other blades. It's also nice for us because we are about 20 mins from the Geib / Buttercut home office, so we just make a call and they deliver to our shop and bring all kinds of new 'toys' for us to try out!

I only have one buttercut blade, its my 30 blade and I love it. It seems to cut so nice and smooth, doesn't tend to get hot fast, and just in general is my favorite blade. I really want another one since I broke a tooth on it

I love the buttercut...won't buy anything else since trying them and they seem to last longer before having to sharpen..The only thing I've noticed is(and it may just be my imagination) I think they cut closer then the andis and oster blades. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have 2 Buttercuts and I LOVE them! I haven't needed to buy new blades lately, but when I do, that's the brand I am going with.

                Buttercut blades

You can buy Buttercut blades from Geibshears on line. They say they have a great line of shears too. I'll have to try them out next.

LawPaws...I love the name too cute. About the buttercuts blades cutting shorter, my groomer said she noticed that also. She said her 7f cuts a lot closer than her other 7f's.

I buy buttercuts exclusively now. They are less expensive and they do a really nice cut. They do cut shorter than some of the other brand blades. (all the different brand of blades do cut a little different length). I'm also a fan of their shears. I love my starlight blenders and my Geib gators.

LOVE their blades! I've been using them since they came out and have both the regular and ceramic ones and they are just wonderful! I do a lot of my trims in reverse with a SOC and Hanvey Taxi-Vac and they work well for that. I've not noticed a difference in the length they leave under combs but the 7 that I use for Schnauzers seems to leave the same amount of coat as an Andis that I sometimes pick up. I'll check it out next time I do a Schnauzer back to be sure.

Are they universal to fit any clipper? I wanted to try them but use a laube. I asked one of the reps at Hershey and he didn't know if they would work so I didn't buy any.

OK think I'll order a couple as I too am tired of new blades that do not cut. And for the price that everyone else charges they are worth a try

They are the best in my opinion and i wont switch to any other brand now.
