  • Laube v. Other Blades

I use laube blades and I like them but I haven't tried anything else and I was wondering if there is anyone else who has used laubes that now uses another blade that they think they get better results from

I started out using all andis and oster blades. About 5 years ago I decided to try the Laube blades...haven't used anything else since. I LOVE my laube blades. They had a price increase a couple years ago so they are a little more expensive then the andis and the oster...but so worth it! I can go a couple years without having to sharpen my Laubes. The Andis and Oster blades seem to have to be sharpened every 6mo to a year. Continue using your Laubes!

I absolutely love all of my Laube blades.... I have used Andis Ultraedge and Ceramicedge and a few Oster and they don't compare to Laube. I am wondering how you are able to go so long without sharpening them though. I have to get mine sharpened every few months at least. Please help!

I really like my Laube blades but I prefer the Wahl competition blades myself. I know a lot of people love the buttercut, but the Wahl are my fave.

Well I groom full time, anywhere from 8-14 or more dogs a day, 4-5 days a week. I do have 2-3 of the blades I use most... I think I have 2 #10, 2 #15, and 3 #7...and then I have one #5, #4, #40. I don't know what I do to be able to go so long, but they last forever.
I only use them on clean dogs, and I keep them oiled. Other than that, I admit...I don't take the best care of my blades. Which is why I've been so pleased with the laubes...I've put them through hell, and they keep going strong.
