Does anyone know if you can buy one of the motors for the k9-II dryers. One was damaged while replacing the brushes....so, its either buy a whole new dryer or replace the motor.

Yes you can, but what did you do to damage it? It might be able to be repaired. A local vac shop can look at it for you or anyone that repairs K9s can as well.
