I know people have posted about this a bunch, but I've just started using it so it's only now starting to make sense to me.

My question is: when you close out a ticket, where do you guys write the grooming notes so that the next time you can see what you did? There seems to be several places you could do it.

I keep all of my grooming notes in the "notes" section of each customer's appointment (in Outlook) in my PDA. Makes it easy each time I groom the dog to pull up the information for that dog. It I did something different last time, I just write the date and the different blade number or shampoo, etc.

I wish their software was compatable with Palm software. I REALLY want this. but my Palm is only a year old. I refuse to spend another $300

I write it under the "notes" section. I wonder what happens though when it gets real full? I'd like to print it out sometimes but I don't want it to print all the history.

I do a quick jot on the comment section of the actual ticket.
Then I just look up the previous ticket to see what I did.
I have some clients that it seems each time they want something different so the notes wasn't working for me.
The before and after pictures help remind me what they looked like last time I groomed too.

I use the pop up alert, this way when you open the ticket it pops up with your notes

              123 pet software tickets

Is there anyway to itemize the tickets? For example 1 client has 2 pets can you make the ticket read fluffy: bath $, groom$, etc and then Fido : bath$ groom$, Flea dip$. ??? Also I am currently putting my grooming notes in the notes section. I date stamp them every time their in. Also is there anyway to schedule overlapping appts? I bring in 2-3 dogs at a time. Thanks for any feedback

I jot it on th eline every time there is a difference and in the grooming notes use the basic trim.To make overlapping appointments you just double click on the time if it won't let you do that you have to go into Options and change it to multiple appts. I use the pop up alert for notes you need to be aware of no cologne, allergie issues that are bad, muzzle size for the dog if they bite etc.

I'm another relatively new user of 123pet and I have a question also. We have all our dogs arrive in the morning between certain hours and assign pickup times as they arrive based on arrival time, breed, and their requests. So on the schedule they are not in any particular order. We basically just put them anywhere until the schedule is full. Is there an easy way to rearrange them once they arrive so they are in order of pick up time?

                    software

I don't have pet123 but it looks like to me it's not very user friendly. Why is everyone still using it? is it because no better grooming softwares out there? I will need the software when i open my own store, any software advice will be helpful

123 is simple:-) You can put it under pets grooming section or under the notes section if you use a pda. In my salon we put it under grooming so that with each appointment we can print them out and they follow the dog through the whole day. For Mobile we put the instructions in the notes section with directions.

I found it to be user friendly, but there are a lot of options to it that I don't need bein mobile and the only groomer.
