Yesterday I think the motor on our stand dryer burnt up.

The motor got really hot and started to stink like burning wires.

It is still under warranty (I think). Anyone else have this problem?

Does your dryer have heating elements. When I had dryers that had heating elements, sometimes hair would get on the coils, and when you turned the dryer on and the coiles heated up, it would make quite a stink. Just take off the screen and clean the inside of the dryer out. Unplug it first of course.

Yeah, I've seen this with several dryers. With one it was something in the motor, not sure what, but it had to go out to get fixed and another one was just hair that burned up.

Thinking it might be hair

We tried it today, it seemed ok. no smell. Maybe it was just the hair problem.
