Itza your picture alone would make a great advertisement for a business and I bet bring them in.

I agree that little cutie in an advertisement for a small breed shop would bring them in, that would be an awesome way to build up a small breed shop.

Brit reminded me of several groomers over the years that did plans for 25 pounds or less dogs. Most were veteran groomers needing to lighten up the heavy dogs and go easier on their bodies. I got to know them by working with their plans, actually I wrote the one in the Box. What's important here and worked for them is that they could scale down to smaller shops if they had larger ones. But they kept retail. They discovered that many of the small breed owners ACCESSORIZED more. So they did pretty good small breed retail, which again didn't need quite as much retail space and storage on inventory. They had specialty foods, yes but the smaller bags, smaller treats, but NUMBER ONE were boutique style pet beds without the very high price tag. Not those costing several hundred to a thousand you may see. But less than $200 usually but furniture style, really cute ones. That's why we put that plan in the Box, it has really worked. Some of them actually moved their shops into very upscale areas, but only needed 250 to 400 sq ft (depends upon retail space) so the rent they were paying for 600 to 1200 elsewhere usually covered things. They did store some of the larger retail off site at home or in storage. I visited some and saw lots of Poms, Chi's, Yorkies and one by the way put these elegant various style "chaise lounge" in their "cages" and that really helped sell those beds.

Anyway to get back to Brit's point, Itza that picture and others would really go for most small breed specialists. Very cute.
