  • Dog Cookie/Biscuit Recipes

The cookie cutter thread got me thinking about dog treat recipes. I've got a couple, a grain-free peanut butter one and a meat and cheese one. They've both been well-liked, but I'd really like to have one that is well-LOVED.

Anyone want to share their favorites, and why you like it? Thanks.

Honestly the best I've ever found is to take a GOOD quality canned food, mix it with a bit of panko , roll it out, cut into shapes and let it slowly dry in the oven (250 for several hours or over night) .

I have tried many of the biscuit recipes and my finicky dogs won't touch them. I even tried a bacon-peanut butter one and they didn't even like that (it had pieces of bacon all through it for goodness sake). I always rely back on the dehydrated chicken for their treats. This year, for my customers, I made each one two pieces and gave them directions on how to make them. They are all natural meat and no grains. I'm getting rave reviews on them.

That's odd Karen, no finicky ones in my household.

The only time my dogs have done that is that when I bought supposedly best dog good in can, and when they snubbed it, I took it as a lesson, they know. For them to do that to a biskies by you, well they must know how to work Mom, mine do.

The only time my dogs were finicky in the past was with some store bought foods, and I trust their instinct.
