  • Need Ideas for pro bath system

I want to start house call grooming and I am buying a pro bath system from pet edge. So that I can use the clients tub for bathing the dog in, my question is If I soap up the dog with the Pro Bath, what would be the easiest way to rinse the pet if the client did not have a spray attachment on their shower? Is there a sprayer that will attach to a tub nozzle easily? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I wish there was a way to use a bucket of fresh clean water and just put the pro bather in it and rinse with that, but I don't think it would be good to submerse it in water. How would you rinse?

I did a few dogs in the owners house before I went mobile. I used a big plastic pitcher that I got from the dollar store. It's easier to maneuver than a bucket since you can find one with a handle. I still use that pitcher to this day for puppies that don't like the sound of the running water. I'll never throw it out.

There was this one hose that was given to me that had a rubber gasket around the shower faucet, but it never worked, I just tossed that.

I think most sinks have a standard hose connection, you could buy a small 10 or 15 foot hose and try and attach it to their sink while the dog is in the bath tub to rinse them if the plastic pitcher or bucket just isn't enough.

Why not just fill the tub with fresh water once or twice and rinse with that? In my mobile, I am limited with water and that is what I do.

        Rinsing

If you come up with a solution that works I hope that you will post it here. I would love to hear how you solve this!

Well, I actually had an idea but I'm not sure if it would work because I don't have the Pro Bath, so I can't try it. All I could imagine was to put the Pro Bath into a bucket like you said, but then to set the bucket under the faucet in the tub. Then to turn the faucet on so that it continues to fill the bucket as you are rinsing the dog. It may be hard to get the water to fill the bucket at the correct speed as you are rinsing the dog. Just a wild idea. Thought that I would throw it out there.

            Ideas for pet bathing systems

Hi, I have a Luxury Spa pet bathing system. When I bought it they gave mean some tips on things to do. One was to use a 3gal bucket for rincing and it works great, set the system in the bucket with running water, also I do crean rince that way. Plus they said to use a spray bottle of fabric softener mix with water to break down the suds and that works fast. I really like my bathing system, I haven't had it long and I don't know how I did without it.

Oh cool your post just made my day. I was still wondering how I was going to rinse the dog. I guess if the water is running in the bucket while you are rinsing the machine won't get submersed, I wouldn't have thought to do that on my own thanks for the tip. And I didn't know that about the fabric softener, I saw the $5 product on Pet Edge and thought you had to use that. Even though I knew it was something inexpensive in the solution they sell. Good to know I can make up my own.

Thanks! I had never heard about the spray bottle with fabric softener to break down bubbles faster. This is going to be a big help! Thanks for sharing that tip!

Poodlefluff, I meant to tell the most of those bathing Pumps are made to submersed. Mines under water all the time.
