So we get to work today and notice immediately a plumbing contractor truck, and yellow construction tape in the parking lot. A delivery truck lurched forward crashing into the back wall of the strip building making a big hole knocking out electricity to some units but breaking water pipes. No water, no grooms. We did have power so we could start the computer and get the appointment book and client numbers to call. So everyone might want to think about this. If no power, and all your customer numbers are on the computer, how do you make calls. Do you occasionally make a printout? Otherwise you have to take the computer where you have power.
Anyway, we started making calls, and of course not everyone is home. So we sent home the staff except myself and a bather covering the phones and those that show up. Water will be back tomorrow, I am going to come in and do some grooms tomorrow. Many of my Saturday people are Saturday only people, and we are booked already for 3 weekends, so opening next Sunday for makeup day too.
Hanging loose they say and what are you gonna do?
