  • Grooming loop help

I hope this is the right place to put this.

I have a grooming loop that has that square metal on it and one side is stuck. It won't extend at all. The other side no problem. I haven't used it very much and now I feel like I wasted money getting a loop that just breaks so easily.

Is there any way to fix it or not?

It's hard to say from the description, but I know that often on the ones we have the little metal wire from the spring gets a bit off-line and digs into the fabric of the loop. Usually I can get it out by looking down in the open part to see how it's stuck in, then wiggle and pull it to the side to get the metal out. Hope that helps!

Also make sure there's no fur balled up in the mechanism. I use for forceps to clean mine when it stops sliding

I switched loops after these things kept malfunctioning. The fabric loops also get very smelly if exposed to water, here is my replacement loop https://www.ryanspet.com/TT3000
