    State licensing boards are putting enterprising, small business owners out of work just to protect their larger, more influential competitors. These licensing boards are comprised of members of the professions they regulate, meaning that they have both the power and the incentive to shut out competitors. In Arizona and Maryland, veterinary licensing boards are directing this power towards quashing the emerging industry of animal massage.

    Animal massage is a safe, non-invasive practice meant to relieve sore muscles and improve the animal’s quality of life. Because many horse owners appreciate that animal massage can also help to calm animals and make them easier to handle, the business of animal massage has flourished among equestrian communities.

    However, the success of the animal massage industry could be its undoing...............

      Once again it may be a good thing but notice the vets in those states are the ones leading the crusade again massage.
