Liza and William Bauman know a thing or two about raising kids.
Over the past three decades, they've taken in more than 100 foster children. They adopted three while raising three kids of their own — all of whom are now adults — and on Saturday they added three more adopted children to the family.
They also care for a 40-acre farm in Independence, Beaver County, and operate a street ministry for the homeless in the North Side, and he manages a warehouse in Carnegie while she runs a pet grooming business in Kennedy.
“We have a lot of support,” said Liza, 50. “We have tons of good Christian friends to help us out. I know God gives us the strength to do what we do.”
The Baumans were among 40 families who finalized adoptions for 52 foster children ranging in age from 7 months to 12 years in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Family Division on National Adoption Day.....................
