  • So many applicants! Guess people don't mind hourly pay so much anymore.

I knew I'd win people over sooner or later. * taps self on back* happy employees means that they spread the word.

I have hired all my bathers and assistants on hourly for over 15 years after reading from problems book. No one complains but I also don't take advantage and say hourly means less. I have 2 groomers on hourly at $25 to $27 and you know what everyone is happy.

I have a groomer on hourly, and when the last commission groomer quits her position, the new one will go to hourly. With experience and plusses they get $24.

We pay hourly and that isn't the problem it used to be, but we are very clear in our ads too.

Some asked, we pay bathers $13 up. Assistants $15 up and Groomers $18 to $30. Latter base on productiveness.

I ended commission when my last commission groomer moved out of state. No problems with hourly and employee status.
