  • What is a roof mounted dryer?

I just finished reading from problems to profits and in the section under salon design it mentions something about roof mounted HV dryers that hang from the ceiling and you pull the house down and use them. Anyone have them or ever seen or heard of them?

That would save alot of space and frustration with the hose always in the way. I wonder where you get them? Perhaps the author of the book could give you a picture or tell you where to get them and then you can tell us!!

I don't know about roof mounting...that sounds like the dryer is outside, on the roof. But my K9II is bolted to the wall, right up by the ceiling, out of the way, and the hose hangs down.

I also have my force dryer hanging from the ceiling. My husband got some hooks and screwed then into a beam and we hang the dryer by the handle. We are able to take it down move it when we have to.

Does having it hanging up higher or hidden under cabinets like that help keep so much hair from clogging the filters too? I like the idea of having the hose out of the way and making the nose a little more minimal.

The filter doesnt really clog. Hair is seldom on the filter. It does still collect dander though.

                Noise reduction is a plus.

I also mounted switches on the cabinets for on and off.

I will take some more pictures of some other setups I have made.

The newer hanger we have swings from side to side giving more range to the hose. The longer the boom the more range of the hose.

I would be will to make these fixtures if anyone is interested.

I am so distraught! I loaned my Problems To Profits Book to a friend and they never gave it back! It's been so long now that I am emberassed to ask for it! I love that book!

If I hang my dryer by it's handle as mentioned above, how much space should be left between the wall the the filter for adequate air flow?

Daper Dawg.. what?! You have a problem with big noses? <tehe>

Toomuchfun.. definitely ask your friend... you shouldn't be the one who's embarrassed.. your friend should be! (After all.. they're the ones who didn't return it). If it got ruined or lost, then I guess you'll know to not lend something irreplaceable to them again Fortunately the book isn't horribly expensive to replace if necessary.
