I just got my Ivac last week. Its less cumbersome and makes a smoother clip; however, I did notice that it clips shorter that the clipper vac I've been using. I'm in heaven!!!!

It is the clipper and a vaccuum with the power cord attached to it with plastic ties. Also included are several plastic fittings for the vaccuum end of the hose (to adapt to various shop vacs, etc.. I had to separate my power cord from the hose and just use the plastic fitting in the end of the supplied hose on the hose that I already had in my van.
The suction is angled differently from my other clipper vac, so it lifts the hair differently. Hard to explain, but I did notice that the hair was cutting shorter with the Ivac clipper.

I'm on my 2nd IVAC in less than 2 monthsFirst one took a dump after 2 weeks. My vendor did replace it though BUT now my 2nd one is cutting out on me. Sometimes I think Laube puts their products out on the market too fast and doesn't R&D them enough. I sure hope my vendor replaces this one if it keeps up..... I really do like it though, its so much easier to work with than the CV attachements to regular clippers...lighter, easier to move with and better on the wrists!

I had a pretty quiet shop vac. I can't remember the name of it, but that's okay. I won't get another one like it because it croaked on me 2 days after the 30 day warranty expired. pfffffffft. It was pretty pricy too, I am thinking around 80$. Too much for a 30 day pieco of equiptment!SheilaB from SC

Ok everybody, the Ivac is a clipper with the vaccuum portion built in. On a regular clipper vac system the vaccuum hose attaches to the top of the clipper and the hose is always in the way. The Ivac the hose attaches to the end of the clipper where the cord is. If you buy the Ivac you have to have a vaccuum system to attach it to. It will work with a clipper vac, a taxi vac or a shop vac. I use a shop vac with a speed regulator, it isn't quite so loud on low or medium.

I got my Ivac shortly after trying a friends. she had to send hers back. So far mine is ok, only sice around Christmas. I already have two Clipper Vacs. When one failed-needs brushes. I used wet-dry vac. on own dogs. ok in a pinch, but LOUD. I always wear big ear covers Lowes Industrial. Mom hard of hearing in 70s . I just want to proyect my hearing. I guess I don't realize the noise the dog hears, cuz I don't. Only wear for dryer.can't work on other stuff w/on. I keep em handy wrapped around grooming arm. Also, where can you get no sit haunch holders? I have two,but one nearly cut thru. One for bigger dogs. Use it each groom so they can't sit to do legs. can't hang a dog-it woukld just swing. One loop neck other waist or near boy dingy. A must use for me.Never see in catalogues anymore.
