Bather called in sick. What a day!

I'm pooped, here's why:

2 standard poodles with a #3 all over & Teddy bear face

1 Cocker Spaniel with 3" coat on furnishings, cocker pet clip

1 Shih Tzu mix 3/4" on body, 1 1/4" on legs, scissored into pillars

1 Beagle B&B + FURminate

1 Chocolate lab B&B + FURminate

1 Black Lab B&B + FURminate

1 Maltese puppy (first groom) 1" comb clipper vac all over

1 Matted mini poodle mix 3 months over due---#7 all over, must./beard

WHEW!!! But today I made more money than I ever have on a single day.

The poodles, thankfully, are very quick and easy to dry especially compared to other standards I've done. UGH, they take forever.

Mine called in sick too!!! I groomed:

1 lion cut cat....mean kitty that is thankfully a regular and I have developed a pretty good repoire w.

1 shaved kitty....1st groom did pretty good

1 shave ckr

1 German Shepherd who has not seem my (or any) bath tub since Thanksgiving!!! Yes he was charged EXTRA..lol

2 Scotties....1 sweet 1 not so sweet

1 OES bath and FFT

1 sht haired lab/pitt mix

here is the killer...3 PWD's......2 of them baths one a full trim.......got a good nights sleep and now I have today off!!!

same here yesterday. 11 dogs, no bather phone was ringing off the hook all day due to an ad I just ran!!!! I was finished by 6pm. I was too tired to even get on the board last night!! NOW THATS TIRED!!!! here's to a better day today!!!

thats awful tammy! I never call in sick. I cant do it! I always think about the customers and my sister! If she can be 8 or 9 mths preggo and working 10 hour days on her feet, or work with the pain of kidney stones ( she works in the operating room) Then I can go to work with a tummy ache!!!

I am so attached to my bather/asst.lol. She has tomorrow off for some Dr appts so I booked lighter then normal but I will miss her. Its nice to just have the company, as well as the help! I try to show her I appreciate her, she has had a lot of financial probs lately due to a divorce a year ago and I was debating treating her to get her hair done. She has been wanting to get it styled but hasnt had the money.........her bday was last wk so I was thinking hmmmmmmm lol.

Oh, take her to get her hair done, she sounds like she deserves it. Nope, I don't need a margarita (I don't drink), but I'm going to have an A&W Rootbeer cold, on the rocks, right now, that's what I need! I did 9 full grooms today, and I'm zonked! I'm used to doing 7.
