I'm so bummed! I have gone through two prs. of these clippers now in 3 1/2 years! Had lots of switch problems and have already returned both prs. for repair since they were still under warranty. Well today my only working pr. the switch went out again I think it just up and stopped working right in the middle of a groom. So I ordered the NEW Andis Lite speed clipper, the one that has a light on the end of it (black in color). I really loved these clippers and tryed to maintain them by putting in new drive blades every two months and keeping them clean etc... Guess I'm just hard on clippers. Anyone else have the same problems with these clippers? Hopefully I'll like my new pr. and they will hold up better.

I don't like them, I have a pair, but they work fine, Ive had them about two yrs but the switch is in the wrong place. I use my andis ultra edge mostly. I have been looking at the ones you mention. I WANT SOME. Keep us updated on how they're working.

andis clippers
I have 2 pair of the blue ultra edge clippers their both 5 yrs old only had to replace the switch one time and the clipper was a month old.I use both of them daily I keep a 10 blade on one pair and use it on low and the other pair I alternate low and high speed as needed. In my opinon there still the best all purpose clipper on the market.I'm buying a ivac for my mobile van I'm also getting a speed feed. but I bet I find myself reaching for my old trusties

My daughter had to replace her switch on hers after just a few months, and I just replaced mine after over a year. My daughters didn't even give her warnning. She was using them and turned them off and put them down and picked them back up and they wouldn't turn on.

We have a pr. of the laube lightning clippers at work and I have tryed them out. Love the cordless idea, but none of my ultra edge (Andis) blades fit very snug. I have heard that I could try adjusting all of the hing brackets on my blades tighter but not sure if that would be the best route for me since I have about 50 blades. I'll keep you all posted as to what I think about the new black Andis clipper with the light on it (Lite Speed) I think it's called. Should be here by friday next week.

I think Andis is getting bad parts right now. I have changed a swith on an Ultra Edge when I tookm it out of the box, it wouldnt come on. I Like Andis clippers but for the last year or so their blades wont cut right out of the package, and they seem to have more clipper problems than new clippers should.
Im a dedicated Laube user, never had any trouble with a Laube.
Thanks
Jeff

It seems the electroinc components are not holding up to the power fluctuations lately and are burning out too soon. I am working on an article and video on UPS's to help with this problem.
