spent the last 2 months comparing both products and have decided that south bark's is infinitely better. when used as directed there was a noticeable difference in eye stains with south barks, but no difference with spa lavish. all my test subject's mom's liked south bark over spa lavish also.

I'm glad to hear that, because I was wondering this myself.
What, did you do one eye with spa lavish and one with South Bark? LOL
The problem I have with Spa Lavish is that they say their scents are "vanilla" and "Cocoa" I think. I don't care for the vanilla scented items available to us today (like Bath and body Works stuff, candles, cologne, I just don't like vanilla).
So, is it really "vanilla" scented? (Spa Lavish)

Spa lavish...south bark.... Get a good bluing shampoo and dilute it 4-1 like Les Poochs or Chris Christensen's or Espree has a good one. Use it on each groom and rinse after 2 minutes. Have never had a reaction. Give the pet a tums tablet daily for acidity and the eye stains will disappear. Dont give rolaids as they contain aluminum. I learned this years ago from a woman who showed show dogs at Westminster. It works!

So far I have only tried Spa Lavish and I don't like it at all. You see it and expect it to smell sweet or something and it is this heavy vanilla scent. In the middle of the hot summer I don't like it. I don't think it cleans any better than a hypo shampoo. I've been meaning to try South Bark but keep forgetting to order some!

no complaints here on Spa Lavish
I haven't tried South Bark but I did have a friend of mine try Spa Lavish and he said the stain dissappeared completely in 3 days and he loved the smell of it. Did the South Park do the trick in one one washing? Where do they sell it?
