Yellow Floor

Rats, my floor is now yellowed from those big black mats I had down. Does anyone know how to lighten them up or do I now have a yellow floor??

I am trying to do the same thing! My table top is black, so with that darn kwick stop on it, it looks dirty. Gracy, is the Barkeepers Friend for the floor or the table (or both)?

do you leave your matts down all the time or do you pick them up each night to let them dry out? as in the yellowing there stuff at like lowes ( cant remeber the name ) but it should help or use comet and get down on hand an knees and scrub and let sit for a few then clean it up.

What is the flooring made of? What type of material are the mats made of? That would help to know how to clean it.

You can use it for both, I also use it in the tubs (if you use people tubs, they get grey scratches from dog's nails).

My floor is linoleum and the mats are the large play matts kids play on from Walmart. Can't take them up at night cause everything is sitting on them, my whole floor is covered with them. It's just like if you have a rubber back kitchen rug in your house and the floor discolors under it.

do you have asphalt outside? walking in from asphalt on that type of floor will cause it to yellow in traffic areas. those mats probably have a compound in them similar to the asphalt. go to a vinyl flooring specality store and get the right stuff!! that won't take the finish off the floor at the same time! I love to clean with soft scrub with bleach myself, but it might take the finish off! just go to the experts first..good luck!
