I find at times when i use my straights i can work faster. I am not sure if it is a matter of comfort or design. Both are Geib. It could just be my style of groomin'.

I use my curves alot for faces, I used to use them alot for feet, but I can put a nicer round foot on a groom with straights now.......weird I know. I do know I have to upgrade my shears....it's just the money thing right now, and the fact that I'm still butter fingers sometimes...........

I only use my curves for top knots and to do a little sculpting in the tuck-up area, if the dog is a little overweight and needs the illusion of having a waist.
I don't use curves for feet. I do "Helly feet" which means scissoring straight up and down, not around the foot.

I too was trained to use straights, so I never really use curves. Plus because I don't really use them, and it's different from using straights I kinda suck at them, lol..if I do decide to use them I'm gonna need to practice first, or I'll mess something up!Scratch a dog and you'll find a permanent job. ~Franklin P.
