the board. We are going to be getting rid of the internet by the end of the month.
Just wanted to thank all of you for putting up with me, answering questions, and replying to my posts. It has been fun and I've learned a lot.
I'll really miss this board. I look at a lot of you as friends.
If we ever get the internet hooked back up I'll be signing on here first thing. LOL I know I'm going to go through withdraw for a few days, if not weeks.

Oh my gosh! That's so sad. You have been on here for quite a while. I can't believe that you are getting rid of the internet! I don't know how I would make it without it, lol.
I wish you the best! Try to keep in touch if you can. Whatever will you do with yourself? You have over 1000 posts, lol.

I'm so sorry to think about losing you! What about your local library? They should have internet access. For sure not as convenient, but it might be an option?!

You can always use the computors at the library. I know after Hurricane Katrina went thru we didn't have internet for almost a month. I went to the library every other day or so (After they got THIER internet back! LOL!) and checked on everything.

I agree the library, or a good neighbor to peek in and let us know how you are. I would think the deduction of the internet would make it very worthwhile to keep it up? Unless you or yours are addicted to online gambling or non-family oriented pictures, lol.

Thanks for the thoughtful words. I have never been that much of a computer person, until I found this board, thanks to Tammy. I'm just hoping I can go back the way I was. I use to cross stitch a lot, haven't done too much lately. Being off of the board maybe I'll keep busy with my cross stitch. It's isn't as much fun as being on here but I'll make it do. Should be able to get a lot of cross stitching done, house cleaning, reading, after all I have spent a lot of time on here, over 1,000 posts!!!
I don't want to get rid of the internet but there are family issues and I think it is time for it to go. When those issues change, maybe I'll be back.

Bye for now Diane, and keep in mind that your internet service is a deductible expense (at least my accountant thinks so.) I haven't been around as much in the last few months but I at least lurk for a few minutes here every day. Reading the board daily is truly a large part of my professional education (sometimes you learn what to do and sometimes what not to do, right?)

I'm lucky, I live in an apartment and I happen to have a neighbor (not sure which one, actually lol) who has a wireless connection with no password. hehe I don't have cable either, so I manage to get SOME TV and internet for free.

Oh, that's awful! I hope you don't have to be offline for too long- also, have you checked out going online at your local library? Even if it's once a week, it would be better than nothing.
